Our farm is located at Village Ghel, District Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, India. A brief detail & historical significance of our location, & details of nearby points of interest are as below.

Fatehgarh Sahib district is one of the twenty-two districts of the state of Punjab, India, with its headquarters in the city of Fatehgarh Sahib. Fatehgarh Sahib derives its name from Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the youngest son of 10th Guru Gobind Singh, who along with his 9-year-old brother Zoravar Singh was bricked-up alive on the orders of Suba Sirhind and which is now the site of the 'Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib'.

The district has many other gurudwaras of historical significance such as Fatehgarh Sahib Gurdwara, Gurudwara Jyoti Sarup, Bhora Sahib and Gurdwara Bimangarh. Other tourist attractions are:

  • Sanghol Museum: This is an ancient site of Harappan culture and is being maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India.
  • Floating Restaurant Floating Restaurant constructed over the Sirhind Canal is an important tourist spot run by Punjab Tourism Development Corporation.
  • Aam Khas Bagh: The Aam Khas Bagh was built for the public and also for exclusive use of the Emperor Shah Jahan.
  • Mata Chakreshwari Temple: This ancient temple is believed to be 1000 years old and is situated in village Attewali on Sirhind-Chandigarh Road.
  • Sri Rauza Sharif Fatehgarh Sahib: On the Sirhind-Bassi Pathana Road, near Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib is the magnificent Rauza Or Dargah of Shaikh Ahmad Faruqi Sirhindi, popularly known as Mujaddid, Alf-Isfani who lived in the times of Akbar and Jahangir from 1563 to 1624.
  • Todar Mal Haveli.: Todar Mal, who is most remembered for defying the Mughals by arranging for the cremation of young martyred sons of Guru Gobind Singh and his mother, had a haveli that still exists, Todar Mal Haveli.
